Using the Color Coded Keys on Your Intermec CN50
Each keypad provides color coded keys to let you access additional characters, symbols and functions printed on the keyboard overlay. Once you understand how to use the color coded keys and key sequences, you can access all of the additional features printed on the keyboard overlay.
There are two color coded modifier keys on the numeric keypad; the orange and green keys. There is only one orange color coded modifier key on the QWERTY keypad.
You Want to: | Press: | Example |
Use an Orange character or function printed above a key. | Press the Orange key (LED turns on) and then the key with the character or function printed above it. | On the CN50 QWERTY keyboard press the orange key and then the O button to select the exclamation point character. |
Use a Green character or function printed above a key. | Press the Green key (LED turns on) and then the key with the character or function printed above it. | On the CN50 Numeric keypad, press the Green key and then the # key to select the “ok” function. |
Lock the Green key to stay on. | Press the Green key once. | On the CN50 Numeric keypad, press the Green key once. The Green LED turns on and stays on. |
Lock the Orange key to stay on. | Press the Orange key twice. | On the CN50 QWERTY keypad, press the Orange key twice. The Orange LED turns on and stays on. |
Unlock the Green or Orange key. | Press the Green or Orange key once. | Press the Green or Orange key once to unlick the key. The LED turns off. |
