WAREHOUSE / RECEIVING CLERK JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Carlton Technologies, Inc. – Holland, MI

The Warehouse / Receiving Clerk position within Carlton Technologies, Inc. has an important role with full responsibility for the company’s Warehouse. Main duties include receiving and processing incoming and outgoing stock and materials, picking and filling order requests, inputting information into the ERP system, inventory management, and maintaining a clean, organized and safe warehouse.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive, process, and manage incoming and outgoing product
  • Receive service RMAs, verify shipments, create service case tickets, and assign ship dates
  • Verify and keep records on incoming shipments
  • Compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measures item of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, orders, or other records
  • Pull and stage inventory for hardware sales orders, verify, and distribute in a timely manner
  • Pull inventory/parts requisitions for technician parts requests, verify, and distribute in a timely manner
  • Put inventory away and ensure FIFO (first in first out) is being followed; process Return Material Authorizations
  • Pull customer owned inventory
  • Maintain product identification and location tagging; responsible for inventory bin assignment within ERP/CRM system
  • Establish and maintain a clean, organized, properly labeled, and safe warehouse
  • Follow safety protocol and identify safety hazards; comply with procedures, rules and regulations
  • Count, investigate differences, and post inventory adjustments based on physical count
  • Document damaged product
  • Provide preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment
  • Contribute to Logistics team efforts and help out in other areas, as needed

QUALIFICATIONS
Desired Skills & Experience:

  • A minimum of a High school diploma or general education degree, GED, required along with two (2) or more years of Logistics experience. Narrow Aisle Hi-Lo certification is preferred.

In addition, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • Pallet jack and hi-lo experience
  • Inventory management experience
  • Knowledge of LTL, UPS WorldShip and FedEx software interfaces
  • Familiarity working in an ERP/CRM system
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and its related products; robust data entry skills
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and effectively deal with tight deadlines and pressure, planning out each day and staying focused on tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a candidate who is not afraid to ask questions and complete necessary research using a variety of resources
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and troubleshoot without supervision, when appropriate
  • Reliable, dependable attendance is essential
  • Willingness to learn other functions and expand role, if needed

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

  • Work is normally performed in a light industrial environment
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance on a regular basis, able to carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling product
  • Must be able to climb ladders and reach above head level
  • Must be able to speak and understand English
